Product Description
The Valve Cover Breather Vent Is Located On The Front Of Your Valve Cover.
This Direct Fit Front Valve Cover Breather Vent Will Fit All Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Liter Valve Covers From 1994-2001.
This Same Front Vent Will Also Fit Jeep Cherokee 2.5 Liter Engines From 1998-2000 Year Models Only.
When This Vent Becomes Clogged With Oil, It Can No Longer Breathe Causing Your Engine To Run Slightly Hotter And Possibly Cause An Engine Hesitation.
If The Vent Is Cracked In Any Way, It Will Create A Vacuum Leak In Your Engine Causing Problems Such As A Rough Idle And Poor Performance.

Front valve cover vent for an older 4 liter

This vent cover is pretty stout! It is also for a 94 -2001 4.0 liter. My friend actually has a 1987 Comanche. The vent cover was a little big to fit so I modified it to fit, I ordered two just in case i messed one up. It did work and I made it fit. His next valve adjustment we will bore the valve cover (just a little) to install the in modified one on hand. Again, the part is pretty stout and of good material which should last for a very long time. I would recommend this product.

This is the proper vent for the front of your valve cover on a Cherokee where a taller one will hit the hood.

My mechanic cracked the factory valve cover vent using a screwdriver to pull it out, he's not the brightest guy. Nice guy, just not a genius. Couldn't find one here and there are few 4.0s in the junkyards here. This was a brilliant replacement, just a shame to postage was so high.
