This Is A 10-Piece Set Of Brand New Old Stock ( NOS ) Factory Original 3/8"-16 Distorted Lock Nuts.

These Nuts Have A Few Applications On Several Model Jeeps From 1981-1993.

The Nuts Were Also Made Here In The U.S.A.

Distorted Lock Nuts Are A One Time Use Nut That Allows Them To Be Stronger Than The Nylon Lock Nuts Were Back In 1980's.

Anytime One Of These Distorted Lock Nuts Are Removed, They Must Be Replaced With A New One.

That Is What Jeep And Other Manufacturers Used From 1960's Through Early 90's Until Better Quality Nylon Nuts Were Made To Replace Them.

The Shape Of These Nuts Basically Is Distorted Like An Egg So Once The Threads Are Tightened They ill Become Damaged When Removing.
